Networking and coliving

Is coliving good for networking?

Coliving can be a strong environment for networking, particularly because the setting encourages natural, low-pressure interaction. Unlike formal networking events, connections in a shared living space tend to grow organically. Because residents often arrive in a new city at a similar stage, oftentimes relocating for work, studies, or specific projects, there is an openness to meeting new people and exchanging experiences.

Many of the most valuable connections in coliving happen through everyday routines rather than structured introductions. You might discover shared interests while cooking, learn about someone’s industry during a spontaneous conversation, or meet new business connections through a workshop event. This informal setting lowers social barriers and makes it easier to build both professional and personal relationships over time.

That said, coliving is first and foremost a home for people. It’s important that residents feel comfortable and respected in their living environment. For that reason, networking should never feel forced, transactional, or intrusive.
