How is Allihoop different

How is Allihoop different from other providers?

Coliving has been a rapidly growing trend across the world in the last decade, with the goal to bring the idea of community living into the 21st century and all the perks it has to offer in a modern society – particularly on the back of the large urban relocation wave we’ve experienced during this time. Given that there isn’t one single established “instruction manual” for how coliving should be done, it has taken on a number of forms that can differ noticeably from each other depending on where you look. The core concept is often very similar however; By sharing spaces and amenities across a community of members, each member is able to have a better experience than they would if they had to arrange it all themselves. This sharing also leads to a social environment where you can easily make new connections and be socially active and engaged.

However, the prospect of “shared living” is an intimidating prospect for many, considering the potential trade-offs that come with it in many cases. The focus on sharing spaces and socialising can make you feel a lack of privacy. The need to collectively manage logistics, like cleaning or maintaining the space, can lead to significant friction and frustration, and having to resolve those conflicts directly with other members is a quick way to make those relationships go sour. These challenges can quickly turn a person off the idea of moving to a coliving community, instead opting to choose another alternative that does not pose the same potential risks – though also, none of the rewards.

Allihoop designed its coliving concept around reducing those friction points, and elevating the positives, in order to overcome this resistance that many people, understandably, feel at the prospect of sharing spaces with others. With Allihoop, each member has their own personal space, which lets them disconnect from the community when they’d like and recharge their social batteries – while still having the social environment close at hand for when they want to join back in. The shared spaces are also maintained by Allihoop, rather than being handled by the members themselves, removing the headaches of trying to coordinate multiple people and making cleaning schedules or shared chore lists obsolete.

Another notable difference between Allihoop and other coliving providers is the range of options available to you, allowing you to find a balance between the social and private that matches your individual preferences. When it comes to the private spaces, Allihoop offers a wide range of different rooms, studios, and even full apartments. If you prefer to not share a kitchen for example, you can choose a studio that comes with a kitchenette – problem solved. When it comes to the shared spaces in Allihoop’s communities, you are able to customize your experience there as well; book the movie room for a marathon of your favorite show without interruption, or grab a private slot in the sauna to decompress after work without having to chat to anyone.

At Allihoop, you are given the tools necessary to customize your own experience, rather than having to commit entirely to sharing and socialising 24/7. This idea even follows into how events and community activities are managed at Allihoop – participation is never compulsory, but it’s been made very easy to find events that you want to attend when it fits your schedule. At its core, Allihoop is made to be a more convenient and balanced version of what comes to mind when you think of coliving, which aims to deliver all the practical and social benefits without compromising on privacy or comfort.
