Stockholm has a relatively extensive public transport network for the size of the city, with a diverse range of different transport options that can take you to the different university campuses from (almost) everywhere in the city. Stockholm University (SU) and the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) both even have metro stations dedicated to them, making the daily commute a comfortable and quick experience in many cases. The Karolinska Institute, while not having a specific metro station right by campus, does have a metro station a brisk 15 minute walk away as well as a number of bus lines stopping at the campus. In general, it is rare to have a commute to a Stockholm university take more than 45 minutes.
Besides using public transport, a large number of students choose to get around the city by bicycle. As it is generally common for Stockholm residents to bike to places, the city has developed an extensive network of bike lanes and cycling paths. For the dedicated cyclist, it can at times be even quicker and more reliable to bike to their campus than taking the metro, even over longer distances.
